SEO Guide for Beginners

How works a search engine?

We now know which factors are most important for SEO. Based on testing and experimentation, people understand how search engines operate. But do not forget that the famous algorithm of the search engines to present the results can change from night to morning. And it can cause bad effects for everyone in the search results. Maybe you can be able to become number one in a very popular search criteria, but suddenly, tomorrow you're in the position 30. The search engine results are not at all guaranteed.

Be very clear that the top ten (first page of results) is what everyone wants, and now you must try to position yourself as best as possible in search engines.

Types of search

Now people want information instantly and accurately. They get it thanks to the excellent results that Google gives in seconds. That's why people choose it. Search activity can be categorized into three broad categories.

1 - Content: When looking for news, videos, forums, blogs and more.
2 - Comparison: compare products and prices.
3 - Buy: you want to buy something.

The search terms that enter a user on Google tells us a lot about what you are trying to find. Many users refine their searches, usually adding more terms to the already done, to get the results that are really relevant.

What is search engine marketing?

Search engine marketing technique is to use search engines like Google to attract visitors to our blog. And there are two ways to do it.

1 - Search engine optimization (SEO). It aims to gain ranking in natural listings, or as it often called, organic lists. There is no cost to you when someone clicks on those results, but in return, SEO requires patience, invest time and be prepared to wait weeks.

2 - Advertising or paid search. These "sponsored links" are basically the results on which the advertiser has control. Companies hire them to place their ads on search results pages that match what you are offering. If you are the advertiser you must pay each time someone clicks on them, but the good thing is that you define in advance how much you're willing to pay. And the results basically act like an auction, making it appear over those who offer to pay more.

Everyone should have a strategy for searching.

Search engines allow you to reach your customers right at the very moment they are looking for something specific. This provides excellent results. Search engines are extremely popular and are the most widely used tool throughout the Internet. And within these, the most popular of all is Google. Google generates billions to companies that have indexed in their results.

In the results of the search engines, location is everything, most users will click on the first results obtained from searches. And in most cases, the vast majority will not even take a look at the results after the tenth.

What is SEO?

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is simply the way to get your products, your services or your brand positioning in natural organic search engine, which is achieved by using relevant content to attract visitors to your blog. And in this most sites will require dedication to remain attractive to Google. In short, your blog or your pages should be optimized to be evaluated as important and move up in organic listings, which are free.

How to optimize your content?

Here are 9 tips to optimize your posts thinking in search engines:

1 - Write about popular things: Helps to know the status of daily searches in a niche to identify what are the people looking on the network.

If your topic is popular, the probability of visits will be higher. But if your keyword is too popular, your blog does not appear in the top results and consequently will not get the expected visits.
Use tools like Google AdWords, Google Trends and Google Ad Planner, to quantify the current and future popularity of a keyword and profitable ads. Find words with forward-looking, without much competition and with significant daily searches (at least 1000 searches / day).

2 - Select keywords very specific and relevant: As a rule, you should try to optimize a post for a single keyword. Of course, this keyword will be 100% relevant to your article. Instead of using generic keywords, go for very specific keywords.

3 - Select keywords from 2 to 3 words, even better if they are 3 to 4 words: Statistics show that about 60% of searches include 2 or 3 words. Keep this in mind when optimizing your article for a keyword. For brand new blog, I would recommend choosing keywords 3 or 4 words.

4 - Use your keyword in the HTML title of your page: Use your keyword as early as possible to your title tag. Remember that your title tag should be explicit, as is what appears in search engines as the title of the result.

5 - Use your keyword in the title and subtitle of your article: Use headings and subheadings as a elements that facilitate the reading of your post, but you should also use these elements to make your keyword appear.

6 - Use your keyword in the body of your article: Especially at the very beginning (in the first 50 words) and just before the end of your article. Each 100 words you can re-mention your keyword.

7 - Use your keyword in the text of your internal or incoming links: Try to use meaningful links to the search engine. If not possible as some such as "Click here", put the tag rel="nofollow" so that search engines do not complicate with them.

8 - Use your keyword in your photographs: In the name of the file and in the tag Alt.

9 - Do not spend using your keyword in your article, because with a higher density of 3-4%, Google could decide to penalize you for spam. Penalties are usually 90 days and 90 days is an eternity if it's your #1 keyword.

How to get quality links?

1 - Guest Posting: write as guest blogs from other bloggers with an audience more relevant to yours. The blogger has a fresh and relevant content at no cost and you have a way to introduce to audiences that have not yet come.

2 - Write unique content: If what you say is useful and valuable, just a matter of time, but you will get incoming links.

3 - Collaborate: To comment on blogs and help in Twitter. The key is to not think about doing your promotion but how you can help others to do their own promotion.

4 - Interviewing important people in your niche: This is unique content and easy to read. Success guaranteed, easy to propagate, and allow you to strengthen your position in your niche.

5 - Link to others: Do not wait, do it yourself. Links to relevant posts in your articles, if they bring value to your posts.
